I was on MySpace enjoying my page when I saw this advertisement on how to get money! Well, I like getting money, so I decided to check it out. I clicked on the link, which took me to www.earncashfromgrants.com. I filled out their "Pre-Screening" form to see if I "qualified" for one of their "remaining free CDs" because they were "going fast", and their "free stocks" were limited.
Of course, after filling out their form, it took me to the next page which asked a LITTLE bit more information about me, to include my address, phone number, and email address. I filled it out.
THEN, it took me to the credit card page, saying:
We`re holding this free kit just for you. Please complete this page within 2:15 minutes. After 2:15 minutes, this free kit we’re holding will be released for others to claim.
Priority Shipping - Only $1.00
Wow! Only $1?? I can do that. Now, notice that you HAD to fill out that form in less than 3 minutes?? Well, below the form where you put in the credit card information is the FINE print!

Our unit will be leaving for Iraq in the next few days, so we had our deployment ceremony this morning. Approximately 3000 soldiers from the 56th IBCT lined up on a large football field for our send-off ceremony.
Before the ceremony, I was up at the front of our formation chewing out one of my soldiers, the guidon bearer for being late to formation this morning. After that, I was standing there talking to him, and our battalion command sergeant major was lining up soldiers in front of the guidons. The commanders of those soldiers were standing behind them, so I thought they were getting all of the rest of the soldiers lined up behind us, and just needed "stand-ins" for the 1SGs.
The CSM motioned for me to step up to represent Company C since our commander and 1SG weren't there. As I stood in line, the commander of the Texas Army National Guard, Major General Mayorga (2-star general) started congratulating us on being the exceptional soldiers that were hand-picked by our commanders. Then, he went down the line giving us his coin.
I was doing everything in my power to keep from...
On October 27, 2008, I took Ladonna and the kids to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina to show them the "Drop Zone". Thirteen years earlier, I was in C/369th AG Bn "Charlie Cougars".
My 4-day pass started yesterday, and I didn't want to sit around all day in our beach side condo doing nothing. We set out around noon, and drove to Ft. Jackson, SC. It was really cool going back to the same place I had trained thirteen years ago. Some things have changed... there are clearing barrels EVERYWHERE you go now. But some things have stayed the same... like the "Drop Zone". I even saw...
I posted this under my "Military Blog" section because it has to do with the military...
...it actually has to do a LOT with the military in that it was a message FOR service members (SMs).
Although I directly addressed SMs, I posted it on YouTube, which means everybody on the internet could see it. I didn't really care WHO saw it, but it was a specific message for a specific audience. The response I've received, thus far, have been quite...
June 24, 2008 - Yesterday and today, we had to ride out with the Memphis Fire Department as part of our Army Combat Medic training. It was great! I mean, I personally didn't see anything all that significant, but but it was a great change of pace from didactic instruction or situational training exercises (STX).
We did our ride-outs wearing our Army Combat Uniform (ACU) like you see pictured. Something quite funny happened on....
EliteTeamFighting training is bad training... you get what you pay for!
Not long ago, I posted the article, "The Right Training at the Right Time." It's quite difficult to be successful in the tactical training industry, especially without money, a name, or both. In the past, training demographics consisted primarily of military, law enforcement, and private security. In the last decade, training has ramped up to now include civilians... doctors, lawyers, bankers, businessmen, garbagemen, etc.
The most sought after training has been the training undergone by the most elite military and law enforcement units. For good reason, there's a certain luster with being associated with the Navy Seals, Army Rangers, Special Forces, and Delta Force, Marine Force Recon, and LAPD SWAT. Members of those units commit to a demanding lifestyle in addition to undergoing training that is simply unbearable for the majority of the population.
Certain "groups" in the civilian population have developed their own "training programs" that have been used internally. Training, good or bad, was once available to the general population via special mail order catalogs, and at a cost. It cost money to publish such material, and it cost to order it. Because of those costs, the material was generally more refined.
Today, with the availability of YouTube, it literally costs nothing to create video presentations of any training ideals... good or bad. The YouTube user EliteTeamFighting has prompted a closer look at bad training vs. no training.
Gretchin now lives in Illinois, but she grew up in Atlanta, Texas... where I met her when I was in 3rd grade. I was in the Big Bad Band from Rabbitland with her. She was a senior, and I was a freshman.
We lost touch for a while, but I recently found her on MySpace. What timing! We connected and hooked up when she came for a visit the past couple of days. I'm not surprised we had an adventure!
While I shouted out a big "Fuck You!" to former Army SPC Darrell Anderson, my sentiments are a little different towards former Marine Corporal Grant Collins.
I can't expect every soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine to support the war in Iraq.
I don't really take offense to the message Grant Collins is spreading because...

Darell Anderson is a real piece of shit. This dumbass was nothing but a common thug who sold drugs until he joined the Army. He served in Baghdad from Jan '04 - Jul '04. He was wounded by a road-side bomb and awarded the Purple Heart.
So this cheese dick gets back, and jumps right to the front of the line on protesting the war. Ok, it's a free country, and everybody's entitled to their opinion. What I've got a real big issue with this asshole is he runs to Canada and tries to file for "refugee" status. In addition to that, he makes bullshit statements like:
"I've been in same situations. I watched a few of my buddies get hit and die, and there was nobody there to take my anger out on; there was no enemy. So, we just shot... shot anything we could see."
That's a direct admission to committing WAR CRIMES.
"People don't just wake up and want to go kill people..."
That statement is incorrect. "Those people" are bred to hate us and kill us at the first opportunity. I'm not talking about Iraqis, I'm talking about Muslim extremists. They wake up with killing infidels (us) on their minds.
"...only more young Americans who want to do good are going to kill innocent people."
Who the hell does this kat think he is?? I've watched a few videos that feature SPC Darell Anderson... the more he talks, the more he paints himself to be an idiot.
